of the areas listed below. Depending on the purpose & duration
of your stay, Copenhagen has areas which might be more or less
desirable - thus the short descriptions which are only meant as a
rough guide:

Old Town
The inner city centre which stretches from the central station to the historical harbour Nyhavn. Shops & Restaurants in abundance. Sometimes a little difficult to escape the commercial tourism.

Christianshavn
An island of enchanting Tudor-style houses, canals & Old World charm. The alternative society of Christiania is also located here. 10-15mins. by foot from the city hall.

|
Frederiksberg
A locality in the traditional style with numerous parks & attractions. This attractive residential area has the further advantage of reasonable car parking. 05-10mins. by public transport to the city hall.

|
Vesterbro
Vibrant area with close proximity to the centre. Located west of the central station, most budget hotels and the red light district are situated here. 05-10mins. by foot from the city hall.

|
Østerbro
Fashionable community in the embassy quarters. The large Fælledpark allows for sporting activities. To the beach it's only 10mins. by bicycle.

Islands Brygge
The harbourfront area in central CPH which since 2000 has
undergone massive redevelopment and has become a fashionable
and attractive neighbourhood with its eclectic mix of old & new architecture.
